Community Events:

• Babysitters Clinic  8:30 am-4:30 pm  Tuesday, August 15, 2006 in the Avera St. Benedict Wellness Education Center - For ages 10-14 (Children 8-9 may accompany older siblings) Prospective Sitters will learn Safety, First Aid and CPR, Babysitter Responsibilities, Feeding infants & snacks for toddlers, Child development & diapering baby.  Pre-registration by August 11th.  Refreshments will be provided. 

Regularly Scheduled Classes:

• Beginning Yog - Coming Fall 2006

• Prepared Child Birth Classes
  (Classes offered three times per year in January, May and September)

• Day Cay (Yearly babysitting clinic and other ongoing classes)

• Cancer Support Group meets the first Thursday of each month

• CPR instruction lead by ACLS instructor
  (Provided by appointment)

• Support Groups (Alzheimers, etc.)

• Volunteer Programs

• Community Education Programs
  (This is an ongoing project with several topics offered throughout the year)

  • Weight Watchers:  Meets every Monday at 5:30 p.m. in the Wellness Education Center in Parkston.

  • TOPS:  Meets every Thursday at 6:30 p.m. at the Avera Lake Andes Clinic in Lake Andes.
